We offer bespoke menus and prefer to tailor our menus to your tastes so that you have the menu that you want at your wedding. We are happy to create and suggest menus for your event if you prefer and we have menu lists which we would be happy to email or post to you to give you some ideas when choosing what to offer your guests.

If you need equipment, we can recommend a variety of companies who we work with regularly to provide all the furniture, cutlery, crockery and glassware that you may need for your wedding or event.
The style of equipment is your choice and we can guide you to the company offering the style that you require at the budget that you have.
We take the all the hassle out of ordering the equipment by arranging and ordering it on your behalf so that we know that everything that you need has been ordered.
On average the cost for equipment hire is £10 and £13 without furniture and between £15 and £18 per head with tables and chairs. This covers for all you need for the reception drinks, a three course meal and evening glassware if required.

Waiters and waitresses can be arranged for you at a charge of £10 per hour (2011 rate) minimum £60.00 and we recommend that you allow for one server per 10 guests for most functions + for larger functions, 1-2 barman and an event coordinator.
The set up/core staff arrive up to four hours before the function begins to set the tables, chill the drinks and prepare the bar. One hour before the reception starts, the main staff arrive and prepare for the guests arrival. These staff leave after the meal has been cleared away - about 1-1.5 hours after the meal has finished, leaving the core staff to stay behind and continue clearing glasses and cleaning away until the end of the event. We allow one hour after the guests have left to finish clearing away. Our professional waitresses and waiters are selected from a experienced team who regularly work together. The staff are smartly dressed in black skirts or trousers with white shirts and a black Top Nosh apron and serve with a smile - it makes the difference!
We charge for one way travel to events by our staff. Staff traveling time and transport costs are based upon mileage and timings from Reading to the venue.
Chefs, assistants and front of house managers are charged from £15.00 - £20.00 per hour per member of staff based upon a minimum of 5 hours.

corkage and ice
We do not charge corkage for marquee events but the client is responsible for checking your wine delivery the day before your function and bottle removal where necessary. We are very happy to organise chilling and the provision of ice for your reception drinks. You should allow for between £75 - £120 for ice depending on the size of your function. For venue events we charge corkage at £5.00 per guest which includes ice to chill your drinks, 1 barman, glasses, all bar equipment and removing the empty bottles after the event.

We also have to pass on any commission charges from venues or venue booking agents.
